Congratulations to Dr. Vanessa Lauzon!

At the most recent San Diego Psychiatry Society meeting, our own Vanessa Lauzon was unanimously elected to be co-chair for the MIT Representative position. She will represent UCSD and Navy residents' interests on the council. She will also start taking over liaison duties with San Diego NAMI and with local county mental health services. In announcing her new role, her SDPS colleagues noted that her dual training in family medicine and psychiatry will be invaluable in the work that is to come with regard to medical home model and integrated medicine...  the APA's position statement about medical home that will be coming out soon.
