We have no cut-off or "magic number" for board scores, but we do emphasize that graduates of the combined program will be taking twice as many board exams as their categorical colleagues, so being able to pass a test is an important attribute.  More important to us is the applicant's experience and dedication to working with underserved populations (to the extent that medical training allows), and we find that this is an important attribute in successful applicants to the program.  Ideally, well-rounded applicants will have demonstrated both academic fortitude and clinical experience--but we recognize sometimes the most important attributes in successful combined physicians are those that can't be taught: compassion and caring.
