Rachel Robitz, MD
Rachel Robitz, MD is a co-chief of the combined psychiatry and family medicine resident at UCSD and UCSD community psychiatry fellow. She currently serves as an APA public psychiatry fellow, APA public psychiatry fellowship representative to the Board of Trustees, and RFM representative on the APA Council of Psychiatry and the Law. She is MIT representative to council and chair of the medical student affairs committee for the Association of Medicine and Psychiatry. She was a Laughlin Fellow this past year. She moonlights as psychiatrist for San Diego Youth Service’s Counseling Cove, a program for homeless youth, and STARS, a outpatient program for young women aged 12-24 with histories of commercial sexual exploitation. She is also volunteer psychiatrist for GenerateHope, a residential program for trafficking survivors. She is working with the San Diego County Human Trafficking Advisory Council to improve the county's medical response. She has presented on both integrated care and the mental health and medical needs of human trafficking survivors locally and nationally.
