Father Joe’s Thanksgiving Day 5K draws more than 10,000 early-rising runners and walkers to raise funds to help Father Joe’s Villages prepare 1.7 million meals each year for neighbors in need. The UCSD Combined Program benefits from the awareness generated by this event and many of our faculty and residents have participated over the years... If you are in San Diego - this is a must not miss event! Thursday, November 24th, 2011 at 8am in Balboa Park...
Event Information
- Course starts and finishes in beautiful Balboa Park. Free Parking.
- 8 a.m. start, fast 5K course
- Medals presented to top three finishers in each age group (5-year increments)
- All participants receive a quality long-sleeve event T-shirt
- Free Continental breakfast provided
- Free Beer garden with the Bill Magee Blues Band
- Wheelchairs, pets and baby strollers welcome
- Sorry, no roller blades, scooters or bikes
- No retractable dog leashes allowed
