"I am originally from Northern California , but after completing undergrad at Stanford and then teaching high school science in Boston for two years, I have decided that San Diego is the place for me. I started medical school at UCSD in 2000 and I wanted to enter the program as soon as I heard about it during my second year of medical school. This program provides its residents with an outstanding education in both Family Medicine and Psychiatry, and its unique focus on the underserved population creates a wealth of learning opportunities in both fields. The faculty and staff are incredibly supportive, and they have selected a fantastic group of residents that I often consider a second family."
