Dr. Chris Searles is a former combined residency director and currently provides direct care in primary and psychiatric care each week at St. Vincent de Paul where he also serves as an attending physician for residents in the UCSD Combined Residency.
Dr. Searles is a dually board-certified family physician and psychiatrist, and a Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine (UCSD SOM). He is the Head of Learning and Professional Growth at the Physician Assessment and Clinical Education (PACE) program at UCSD Health.
Dr. Searles is board-certified in Health Care Quality and Management (CHCQM), with sub-specializations in Physician Advising, and Risk Management; and is a Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS). He is a Certified Physician Executive (CPE), and a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation specializing in executive and leadership development working exclusively with clients in the healthcare, academic, and non-profit sectors.
Dr. Searles’ research and work developing healthcare leadership programs are supported by the National Institute of Health (NIH).
