Aaron Meyer, MD
Aaron Meyer grew up in Springfield, Illinois (Land of Lincoln and home of the hamburger horseshoe). He studied philosophy at Saint Louis University and then spent a year with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, working at Nativity House, a homeless day shelter in Tacoma, WA. He took his experiences that year back with him to Saint Louis University Medical School, where he founded their chapter of Physicians for Human Rights and organized events around St. Louis' health disparities. Aaron also caught the health policy bug and has been active with the American Academy of Family Physicians, serving as the Student Member to the Board of Directors this year. Currently, Aaron's career interests include underserved and corrections medicine, integration of family medicine and psychiatry and health policy. In his free time, Aaron enjoys exploring San Diego's brunch scene, running on the beach, and sampling this city's fine microbrews.
